The True Blessing

According to Webster’s Dictionary, the word blessing means a benediction; an invoking of divine favor; anything that gives happiness and prevents misfortune. Notice the definition does not say that blessing is the accumulation of vast financial resources. Money can bring sadness and misfortune just as easy as it can bring happiness and prevention of misfortune. Proverbs 15:16 says, “Better is a little with the fear of the LORD, Than great treasure with trouble.” True blessing is a little more than just having an abundance of money. A blessing is when God calls upon our lives divine favor so that we are happy and protected from trouble or adversity. In order for God to call anything upon our lives, He must first and foremost be a part of our lives. When you understand that all blessings begin with God our search will no longer start off with looking for things but with looking for God - seeking His face and not His hand. This is the true blessing.

Vision For The New Year

To everything there is a season, to everything there is a time. These times and seasons are not inter-changeable. The vision God gives us for every season of our lives is more than sufficient for each of those seasons. He gives us a glimpse into our new season. He ignites an excitement to create what we’ve never created before, to do what we’ve never done before and be who we’ve never been before. We go to a higher level with each step. We go from glory to glory, from strength to strength. Just as written in 2 Corinthians 3:18, “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Each day as we pursue the completion of our God-given vision we are transformed into God’s manifest purpose and intent here on the earth. This is your season and this is your time. And your season begins this first day of 2013.

You Have Great Value

There will always be those around you who will make value judgments about you. They do this because they must mentally create some justification for rejecting you. These people assume that their opinions about you somehow determines your worth and value. These people believe that the way they view you and judge your character is 100% accurate even though they have not spent any time around you or paid any price to befriend you. The truth is we have been created for God’s usage and glory here on the earth. Our value and importance can only be determined by Him (not by those around us). (2Timothy 2:20-21) But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honor, and some to dishonor. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. Once we are cleansed by the Blood of Jesus we become valuable, sanctified vessels of honor. We become “meet” and prepared for His use. The word “meet” in this verse is used in its adjective form. We know that in the English language an adjective is used to describe things. When used in the adjective form, “meet” means precisely adapted to a particular situation, need, or circumstance. Those of us who have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb are now described in God’s Word as precisely adapted to the situation, need or circumstances we face. That’s why it is important that we do not let anyone take our focus off of God’s work when they value judge us. Our value is in Him and that value is great.

Merry Christmas!!!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas! Christmas means the eve of the Christ. This is the time of the year where we celebrate and commemorate God's greatest gift to the world...His Son Jesus the Christ. In the aftermath of the recent spirit of murder and death that has touched just about every state in the Union, it is imperative that we reflect on celebrating the birth of the One Who brought life to you and I. Much love and blessing to you. The best is yet to come. Psalm 20:5

The End of a Matter

There is great joy in knowing the end of the matter is better than the beginning but from the starting point to the finish line there is a journey of uncertainty. This is the place where it looks as if we may not make it through. We know that our end point will be a place of joy, happiness and peace but as we travel from point A to point B (or Z depending on our ability to be obedient to God), we sometimes become confused and lose our way. It is at this time that we must rely upon our faith in God to navigate the current times we face. We must lean on the leading of the precious Holy Spirit to lead and guide us in all ways of truth. In order to be led, one must listen and obey. We must follow the advice that Mary the mother of Jesus gave, "Whatever He say to you, do it." We must remember to do what "He" says to do not what we tell ourselves our own minds. If you are not sure that He is speaking, check what you heard with the Word. When you follow God's lead the ending is always better than the beginning.

A Good Father

There isn’t one good father who wants anything less than the very best for their children. A good father wants his children healthy. A good father wants his children clothed. A good Father wants his children fed with good food. A good father wants his children well educated. A good father always wants the best for his children. Jesus speaks these words in Matthew 7:9-11 “Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? (That’s “ask” for bread and a fish not demand). If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? God is a good Father yet many don’t come to Him because they think He wants to stop their fun (which is a code word for sin). I had someone once tell me they would start coming to church after they had all the fun they wanted to have. In other words, they would come to church after they finished committing all the sin they wanted too. The Father doesn’t want to keep you from having fun. He wants to keep you from dying. (Romans 6:23) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Producing More Fruit.....Something To Think About

The fruit of anything upon the earth contains the seed within itself for getting more of that fruit. Within an orange is a seed for producing more oranges. Within wheat stalk is a seed for producing more wheat. Within a man is a seed for producing more men. In order to get more of anything, you must plant a seed from that thing. If no seed is planted, we can wait until Jesus returns but we will never receive a harvest. So many of us in the church are praying to God for financial blessings and increase but we haven’t planted a seed. Whatever you want in life you must plant that seed. If you want wisdom and knowledge, plant the seed of the Word of God. Just something to think about.............

~Wallace Rahming

We Must Have Vision

A vision is something you put your whole life into. It wakes you up each day and keeps you going when you are tired. It drives away depression and gives joy in the midst of opposition. It gives you reason for today and hope for tomorrow. It fills you with a divine purpose for living. This is emphasized in Proverbs 29:18 where it states “Where there is no vision, the people perish:” There are many extremely gifted and talented people who have given into drugs, alcohol, false religions, sexual promiscuity, crime or have given up on life altogether choosing to wander homelessly on the streets all because they have not discovered their God-given vision. All of us were born to do something significant in life and this significance is discovered when we discover our God-given vision. Outside of this vision, we live ordinary, mediocre lives becoming resentful of our jobs and families as time goes on. We must have vision. Vision is the most valuable gift God has given after His Son, Jesus the Christ.

-Wallace Rahming

The enemy will always use deception as his main weapon to destroy our dreams. The attack will come in our thought life or through the yielded voices of those around us. To combat this, God has given us the most potent spiritual weapon which is His Word. Hebrews 4:12 states, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Against the Word, the enemy has no defense and the Name of Jesus is the knockout punch.
