Wallace Rahming: Bio

Wallace Rahming

At one time, Wallace Rahming was no different than any other in the ongoing quest for peace in this world system. Now after 17 years of music ministry and seven recorded projects, Wallace reaffirms his goal to proclaim the Good News in song.

There is not much unusual about Rahming’s history other than the fact he is now writing and recording Christian music. Wallace was influenced by many styles of music ranging from classical to classic Motown which his parents would play during his youth. Wallace showed a gift for music early studying the piano at age nine and and writing numerous top 40 arrangements for his high school marching band at the age of 14. Rahming pursued a possible career in the secular music industry in 1985 becoming a semi-finalist in the South Florida StarSearch competition (the pre-competition to the famous T.V. show). After losing in the final show, Rahming chose to continue his study of music at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La.

After earning a degree in vocal performance, Wallace produced his first (and last) secular recording “Come By Here”. “I had always believed my years of musical instruction and training would lead me to a career in the secular industry,” says Rahming. “I now understand that God had and has a purpose for my life. He was equipping me with the knowledge and skills to accomplish that purpose.” In addition to gaining music knowledge, Wallace also gained knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The following year, Wallace released his first Christian recording “IN HIS LOVING CARE” (1991) followed by a full-length album project “JESUS SAVED" a few months later. Two full-length recordings, “RETURN TO ME” (1993) and the successful “STAND” (1997) would later follow. Wallace entered the 21st century with a more mature writing style and stronger faith producing the powerful “SALVATION” CD (2000) and the popular follow-up "RESTORED" (2005).

Wallace teaches voice and directs youth theatre in Vero Beach, Florida. He is currently a music minister, leading Praise & Worship in local area churches and has made several appearances on WTCE channel 21 (a Trinity Broadcasting Network affiliate station).
